Best Android 17 Custom ROMs for Nokia 5310 (2020)
If the official software for Nokia 5310 (2020) has started to feel outdated, a custom ROM can give the phone a completely different lease on life. Android 17 ROMs can bring a newer interface, security improvements, better control over system behaviour, and features that may not be available in the manufacturer’s software.
The right ROM depends less on having the longest feature list and more on what you actually want from the phone.
LineageOS — Best for Stability
LineageOS is usually the first ROM worth considering when reliability matters. Its clean, close-to-stock Android interface avoids unnecessary extras, keeping the system responsive while giving users a modern Android experience.
For Nokia 5310 (2020), it is a sensible choice if you want Android 17 without turning the phone into a complicated customization project.
crDroid — Best for Customization
If you want more control, crDroid is a stronger option. It combines a relatively clean Android foundation with a large collection of personalization and system-tuning options.
It suits users who enjoy changing the appearance, navigation behaviour, status bar and other parts of the interface.
Evolution X — Pixel-Inspired Experience
Evolution X is aimed at users who like the Pixel-style Android experience but want additional customization. It combines the familiar Google-inspired interface with extra controls that are not normally found on standard Android.
It can be a good middle ground between simplicity and customization.
ArrowOS — Lightweight Choice
For older hardware, keeping things light can make a noticeable difference. ArrowOS focuses on a minimal Android experience instead of loading the system with countless settings.
If performance and battery efficiency are more important to you than endless customization, it is worth checking whether an Android 17 build is available for Nokia 5310 (2020).
Other ROMs Worth Checking
Depending on the current development status of your device, you may also encounter projects such as Havoc-OS, PixelOS, BlissROMs, OmniROM, Paranoid Android, AOSiP, DerpFest and Project Elixir.
Availability changes over time, so always check that the ROM specifically supports your Nokia 5310 (2020) before flashing anything.
Before Installing Android 17
Installing a custom ROM is not the same as installing a normal system update. You may need an unlocked bootloader, compatible recovery, the correct ROM package and, depending on the build, Google Apps.
Back up your important files first. Flashing the wrong package or following instructions intended for another device can result in boot problems or data loss.
Which ROM Should You Choose?
For most users, LineageOS is the safer starting point. Choose crDroid if customization is your priority, Evolution X for a Pixel-like experience, or ArrowOS when you want a lighter setup.
Before downloading, verify the exact device model, codename and Android 17 build. At DownloadLinks4Free, we aim to make finding relevant Android firmware and ROM information easier, but the final compatibility check should always be done against the ROM developer’s current documentation.
